Grown at Santa Elena, on the slopes of Cerro Piedra de Lino in the heart of the Boquete valley, this Geisha benefits from a terroir particularly favourable to the aromatic expression of the variety. The farm grows different arabica varieties, including Geisha, between 1200 and 1550 metres. Santa Elena is today carried by the Ameglio family, whose farming history in Panama goes back several generations; the farm was acquired in 2011 by Marco and Xenia Ameglio, who have since progressively modernised the plantation and their production methods. On this Aura lot, the choice of a Natural process with a low fermentation accompanies the naturally very expressive character of the Geisha without trying to mask it behind an overly aggressive fermentation. In the cup, candied lemon arrives first, with a soft acidity and a sweet sensation. Peach then brings a rounder, juicier texture, while rose settles progressively on the palate, adding a fine and elegant floral dimension. Fruit and flower answer each other with great finesse to reveal a delicate and precise Geisha. Roasted for filter.
