Kotowa Duncan is located in the El Salto area, on the slopes of the Barú volcano, in Boquete, Panama. At 1,700 meters of altitude, Duncan enjoys the warmest and driest microclimate in Boquete. The low ambient humidity naturally limits pressure from fungal diseases. These conditions have notably allowed Kotowa to develop an organic program on part of the farm. Chakira comes from old varieties from Kotowa's experimental plots, where each tree is cupped individually to identify remarkable new aromatic profiles to share with the industry. This variety stands out for its long, pointed beans and for its characteristic aromas of lavender and orange, along with a particularly thick and distinctive mouthfeel.
