I. The Philosophy: Subscription as Reservation The Curator's Ledger is not a standard "auto-ship" service; it is a secured reservation system. When you subscribe, you are securing a guaranteed slot in a global logistics chain. Because our coffee is air-freighted from Europe specifically for our members, we operate on strict Allocation Windows. We do not hold speculative inventory.

II. The "15th Protocol" (New Member Cycle) To ensure sourcing precision, the membership roster for the upcoming month is permanently locked on the 15th of the current month.

  • The Green Zone (1st – 15th): If you join between the 1st and the 15th, you are secured for the upcoming shipment.
  • The Red Zone (16th – End of Month): If you join after the 15th, the allocation for the upcoming shipment has already been finalized with our European partners. Your subscription will commence with the following month's allocation.

Example: A subscription placed on January 18th falls into the Red Zone. The January allocation is closed. Your first shipment will be the February Allocation, which arrives on your doorstep on March 1st.

III. The Fulfillment Cadence Our logistical goal is "Day One" delivery.

  • Sourcing & Roasting: 16th – 22nd of the month.
  • Import & Processing: 23rd – 25th of the month.
  • The Dispatch: Last week of the month.
  • The Arrival: Our target delivery date for all members is the 1st of the month.

IV. Billing Protocol

  • Initial Charge: You are charged immediately upon joining to validate your financial commitment and secure your future slot.
  • Recurring Charge: Subsequent renewals occur on the 15th of each month, aligning with the Allocation Lock.

V. Cancellation & Pause Policy To respect the logistics of our roasting partners in Europe, any changes to your subscription (cancellation or pausing) must be made before the 15th of the month.

  • Requests made after the 15th cannot be processed for the current cycle, as your allocation has already been purchased and roasted.
